Tips to keep hair strong and healthy
Everyone lose hair on a daily basis, unfortunately many people rapidly loss hair than the generation of the new ones in replacement. It results in thinning hair and possibly leads to partial or complete baldness. Hereditary character also plays a key role in the intensity of hair loss but improper care of hair along with an unhealthy lifestyle may cause early hair loss.
The following are some useful hair care tips that you can use to perk the scalp up and improve hair look.
General
A healthy lifestyle means healthier hair for your personality. Excessive stress, smoking, lack of sleep, inadequate exercising and malnutrition are not healthy for your hair.
Hair Products (Gel, hair spray…)
Avoid use of hair styling products containing alcohol which dries out hair. Abstain from putting hair styling products directly on your scalp. Direct contact of such products with your scalp could clog the pores on your head.
Drying
Hot air can damage your hair so whenever use a hair dryer keep it on the cool setting. Don’t leave the blow dryer in one spot for more than a few seconds; keep on moving it at a good distance away from your hair. To quick the drying process, tap your hair with a dry towel and let the remaining moisture dry naturally.
Combing/Brushing
Use those kinds of brush, whose bristles are made from natural animal hairs because it is softer and more flexible and provide less damage to the hair. Hair is most fragile when it is wet so avoid brushing or combing at that time, or else it will cause breakage. Wait until your hair is almost completely dry before brushing it. Avoid the use of plastic brushes/combs which generate static electricity and weak the hair.
Shampooing
It is essential to wash your hair properly. Shampooing removes dust particles, dead skin cells, hair oils and any hair products you might have used into your hair. When shampooing, rinse your hair out before applying any shampoo to remove any dust, dirt, and any other foreign items, then apply shampoo onto your scalp and massage very gently with your finger tips. After completion make sure that you have thoroughly rinse out your hair to remove any shampoo residue that may be left. Shampoo residue may dry your hair and or attract dirt.
Role of nutrition
Balance diet is very essential for healthy hair. With malnutrition hair lose vitamin and results in fall off the hair.
Biotin
Biotin also known as vitamin H, is yet another B complex component. Biotin is a proven hair growing vitamin and a preventative to excessive hair loss. It appears to metabolize fatty acids. Fatty acids are important growth factor in several processes in the body including the hair. Biotin also aid in preventing hair from turning grey.
Zinc
In a research, animals fed with a zinc supplement showed signs of more hair growth, on the contrary to loss of hair in animals that were feed on diet without zinc. It was discovered that hair protein structure had been changed with deficiency of zinc. Severe zinc deficiency in humans is responsible for baldness and scalp problems that were cured when zinc was returned to the diet.
Water, proteins, biotin, vitamins A, B6, B12, C, copper, iron, omega 3 fatty acids, zinc, calcium, folic acid, and magnesium all participate in maintaining a healthy scalp, skin, and hair.

You have forgot to mention that the water we use to bathe also plays a key role in hair fall. If the chemicals in the water that is being used is too high hair fall will occur. If you also keep on changing the water for bathing, then hair fall is inevitable!

The tips mentioned here are useful in reducing hair falls and letting you spend a better life with healthy hairs.I agree with Matt that chemicals in water can be major danger to the hairs.
