Researchers say that babies born from frozen embryos are healthier than those who develop from fresh embryos.

The results of three studies presented at a US fertility conference showed that there were fewer chances to be premature and underweight in frozen embryo babies.

Previous study suggests that only the strongest embryo survives the freezing process and it’s mainly because of this.

According to fertility experts, further studies are needed on the issue.

In this Finnish study, the researchers found that babies born from fresh embryos had 64% more chances to have low birth weight and 35% more chances to be premature than the babies born from frozen embryos.

In the second study (conducted by the researchers from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia) the researchers found that that the odds of low birth weight were 51% more in babies born from fresh embryos and they have 15% more chances to die around the time of birth.
