According to Canadian researchers, childhood abuse can become the cause of lifelong damage by altering the genes, as they have found by examining the brains of suicide victims.

The researchers said that there were clear changes in brains of those children who became the victim of abuse in their childhood and committed suicide later on.

This can be very helpful to find out why childhood abuse becomes the cause of depression and other mental diseases.

The study may also prove helpful to find new treatments for people who have abusive childhood and its related issues.

In their study, researchers from McGill University, Canada examined the brains of those 36 people who died suddenly, 12 out of them were suicide cases that were become the victim of abuse, 12 suicide victims didn’t have apparent abuse history and 12 died suddenly in accidents.
