In day today common life a human being in the world facing lot of problems. One of the main problem is the pain that caused by diseases like appendicitis and ulcer.

In the United States 10% of the population is expected to develop appendicitis disease by next year. The appendix disease affects anyone at any age mostly between the age eleven to age twenty nine, it won’t affect the children under age two and common between ages ten and Thirty.

The appendicitis is also defined as inflammation of the appendix, which is a small tissue that enlarges from the large intestine about 3 1/2-inch-long. Appendix can be local or general depending on the area infected by the peritonitis around the inflamed appendix.

Commonly appendicitis can be removed by appendicectomy, nothing but an operation for removal of the appendix from the stomach. The percentage of normal appendix removal is between 10-20% of the suspected cases in the world. The men’s are most affected by inflammation of the appendix but the young women are having higher chance to get healthy appendix.

The children’s and old people always do not have the classical symptoms, so the situation is trickiest to find appendix disease in them and this is the major reason for the doctors to diagnosis wrong and false of appendicitis . Every people in the world know that they can live without appendix. The main symptom of appendix is pain in the belly button area that begins around the navel area of your stomach or in the epigastria and then moves down to your right ileal fossa, which will take place after several hours of inflammation process involves with the peritoneum. The appendicitis pain will increases over a period of six to twelve hours a day, and the pain will become very severe. If you are having appendix the pain may become sharper and more severe as the inflammation spreads to nearby tissues. While person tries to cough or tries to stay still the pain tends to get worse.

image en.wikipedia

Often appendix can be mistaken with other affections like gastroenteritis and stomach ache, but it cause symptom like nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain after vomiting. The hardest patients to diagnose appendicitis are small children because in their case symptom cannot be so clear like in adult patient.

Sometimes before vomiting will appear the children refuse to walk because of hip pain. If you are having any of the following symptoms last for more than four hours you should call the doctor and you should go to the emergency room. You have to take some tests to see if you have appendicitis or not. The urine test will be performed to count the white blood cell in the body and excludes urinary infection. If the doctor is doubts about your appendicitis, he will perform abdominal CT or ultrasound test. If someone in your family has appendicitis you should do give him food or water to avoid complication during surgery and also very important to avoid taking drugs like painkillers, antibiotic drugs and laxatives.

A typical symptom for pregnant women is the pain in the abdomen. Diarrhea and vomiting, and diffuse abdominal pain, shock and confusion in older persons, low graded fever, and loss of appetite, nausea; sometimes anorexia are the basic appearing symptoms for appendix disease; the constipation is the most common symptom because the inflammation process tends to slow down the intestinal transit. When the appendix is in abnormal localized position after the Ilion, the symptom is diarrhea can also occur without fever and also Pulse and temperature can increase as the peritoneum is caught or an infection develops.

Pain can be also increases by touching the area, by touch method the inflammation of the peritoneum can be checked by the doctors. The Psoas tests – in this test the patient extends the hip from the right side and performs the abduction of the thigh, The obturatory -muscle test- in this the patient flex the right thigh and rotate the hip to the inside, The Rovsink test – this test done by pressing the left ileal fossa causes cause severe pain in the right ileal fossa pain, The rebound – means the peritoneum is interested after releasing the pressure exercised in the right ileal fossa, These are the common objective clinical tests to prove the inflammation of the appendix. The patients may feel less pain, but the rising pulse after the appendix perforation. There is no other treatment for appendicitis except surgery. Before removing the inflamed appendix no oral intake of food and water is allowed because this could interfere with the anesthesia and surgery, the intravenous fluid which helps your body to keep well hydrated during surgery.

If appendicitis is left untreated complications can occur in your body. If the surgery is successful you will able to do physical activity in just Three to four weeks.

A new study suggests that air pollution can increase the risk of appendicitis. Researchers from the University of Calgary found that more cases of appendicitis were hospitalized on days when pollution levels were at peak.

The study has been presented to an American College of Gastroenterology conference and it seems to suggest that the general risk of tissue inflammation increases because of pollution.

A small pouch connected to the large intestine is known as the appendix. Though its role in the body is not clear, it is believed that it helps useful bacteria to aid digestion and fight infection. In Appendicitis, the appendix swells up and fills with pus.

In their study, the researchers identified almost 45,000 adults who were hospitalized between 1999 and 2006 for appendicitis. The researchers noted that on days of the highest ozone concentration, the patients were nearly 15% more likely to be hospitalized.

The researchers noted similar findings for other pollutants including nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide and particulate matter.

It was observed that the effects of air pollution were quite strong in summer months when people were more likely to be exposed to air pollution.

There are many other previous studies which show that air pollution can promote other disease states because of inflammation and according to the researchers of the current study, this was the best explanation for their findings.

Dr Gilaad Kaplan, who led the study, said: “If it’s confirmed that there is a link between air pollution and appendicitis, improving air quality may help to prevent the occurrence of the disease in some people.”
