Headache Causes

Headache is nothing but symptoms that occurs due to disturbance in the pain sensitive areas. There are lots of reasons for headache. We can’t predict by our own when we get headache. It is a base for all the brain related disease.

Brain itself cannot detect any pain on the particular area because it lacks some sensors to detect the pain.

This area is known as nociceptors and several area in the neck, head have sensitive structures  which is divided in to two, Inside the cranium and outside the cranium.

The international headache society has classified headaches into various types.

Let us see about headache in a brief manner

Headache Diagnosis

International classification of headache society thoroughly analyzed headache and they published the second edition about this in the year 2004.This type of classification is recognized by WHO. Another type of classification was introduced by national institute of health in the year 1962.Both classifications analyzed the causes for headache briefly by taking survey from each person on a particular location and finally they published the result.

The causes for headache are divided in to two and they are life threatening causes and benign causes. In the year 2008 American college of emergency physicians who have tested adult patients under nontraumetic acute headache categories and evaluated certain theory from these people which is very familiar in America .Nero imaging is very famous test to detect what exactly is the cause for headache to the people .Some people is affected by neurological disease which first shows a sign of headache and also some symptoms like decrease in the level of consciousness, weaknes
s one side, pupil  size will also be in different size.

Headache Symptoms and treatments

For acute headache there is no need of medication because it can be resolved by using certain tablets like paracetamol or NSAID group’s tablets like aspirin which will act as pain killer and also it will stop the headache.

Chronic headaches

Treatment for chronic headache involves a large process  by which patients has to take a note on which time headache is coming and also what type of medication they are taking so that doctor can diagnosis the problem by manual and also treatment  will be accurate  for this chronic headache. Acupuncture is also a best treatment for chronic headache because internal nerves are healed by pinching the needle accurately on the affected part. Best treatment for chronic headache is acupuncture because it will not cause any side effects and they are the perfect thing that should be considered by the patients.

Migraine headaches

Migraine headache are also classified under the primary headache category. In United States of America about 28million people are affected by migraine headache. Migraines can affect all ages of people from child to adults. Before attaining puberty migraines will be experienced by both male and female and after attaining puberty female are prone to attack by migraines when compared to men. Special treatments are given to the people who are suffering from migraines because if we it is not treated properly it leads to severe problems.

Cluster headaches

Cluster headaches are the rare types of headache that affects 0.1% of the people. World health organization estimated that 85% of the people who suffers from this disease are men. Tension, migraine, cluster will lead to life threatening problem to suffers.

Secondary headaches

Secondary headaches are those which can give pain in parts like head and neck. This type of headache is very dangerous because certain disease like tumor, bleeding in the brain can cause headache. No proper treatment to this type of headache even leads to death.

Blood tests

Blood test provides valuable information to the patients because an infected patient’s body will show a rise in the white blood cells and also there will be electrolyte disturbance in the body which has to be taken in to account while doing blood test.

Ct scan

CT scan is one type of scan for detection of brain activity and also to analyze whether there is any tumor in the brain. Brain tumor is nothing but an abnormal development that leads to severe headache which has to be treated immediately because this brain tumor will force the patients to death.

MRI scan

Magnetic resonance scan is another type of scan that takes image of the brain completely by limiting the function of the body. This scan is very much useful for knowing the brain structure and also we can know about the damaged parts in the brain and it can be rectified.MRI scan can also be used in studying the brain activity. The day today activity of the brain helps to understand the brain mechanism and its internal structure which is very helpful for neuron science department people.

Lumbar puncture

Lumbar puncture is known as extracting and analyzing method. By this method we can extract cerebrospinal fluid which can be used for biochemical, microbiological, cytological analysis. This method is very much used for decreasing cranial pressure in the body for the patients who are suffering from this disease. The lumbar puncture means pressing needle in the centre of the spinal cord so that cebrofluid can be extracted which helps to treat the disease. The person who is affected is tested by using a special instrument used for measuring the amount of liquids that are taken and this instrument is known as column manometer. Patients should take at least six hours of minimum rest so that they will recover from the back pain which is common when people undergo lumbar puncture treatments. Basic thing that should be considered while doing lumbar puncture is nothing but to give proper drugs to make patients feel free from the pain. This is very important without this kind of drug the operation cannot take place also patients body type should be analyzed that whether he or she can withstand the pain that’s important while doing lumbar puncture operation and also careful monitoring is important so that accurate place in the spinal cord can be punctured exactly.

Substances in the cebrofluid

1.    Chloride levels in the cerebrofluid helps to detect whether patient is suffering from tuberculosis. This is a dreadful disease that should be treated properly.

2.    Glucose in the cerebrofluid help  us to detect  the level of glucose which should be at least 60%.More than this percentage will help us finalize certain diseases  like fungal, tuberculosis or pyogenic infections, lymphomas leukemia which can  be easily indentified by this method .

3.    Lactate is another substance in the cerebrofluid which can be used to detect cancer. By measuring the level we can confirm the disease as well. Cancer is nothing but free radicals of cell which grows rapidly that cannot be controlled immediately when it reaches its higher level. In the  initial stage it can be cured by taking proper treatment but when it reaches extreme levels cancer cannot be cured .Treatments for cancer is not so effective but it can be controlled by taking proper treatments like radio therapy etc. Cancer can be classified in to various types like skin cancer, throat cancer, lung cancer, blood cancer,stomatch cancer ,mouth cancer etc.These  kind of diseases  should be treated regularly by taking proper  medicine without that a person’s life is not a guaranteed one.
