Have A Safe Pregnancy

Pregnancy is the most amazing experience a woman can have, as it brings a new life in the world making her mother. A woman goes through many changes during pregnancy to reach motherhood. The utmost effort and desire by moms are to see her baby healthy and full of life. To achieve this goal she becomes excessively conscious. Most of the pregnant women seek handy information throughout their pregnancy to give birth to a healthy baby.

To have a healthy new born in your lap, there are certain guide lines which can be followed.

Medical Examination

First of all, go for a complete medical examination soon after learning that you are pregnant. These are guidelines for the doctor to determine the type of medications needed for proceeding healthfully. They are also used to provide the necessary quantities of iron and calcium required by the hosting body.

Avoid Smoke

Smoke of all types should be avoided. As if the mother inhales smoke, the oxygen transfer rate decreases causing suffocation to the baby. If the mother herself is a smoker and continues smoking, it can cause premature child birth, as smoking becomes a cause of placenta defects. Such women are more likely than others to face mishaps like miscarriages.

Birth defects too are more evident in such babies; these defects can be cleft lip and cleft palate.

Exposure To Toxic Agents

Toxic agents including insecticides, disinfectants, house cleaning agents, paint, substances containing turpentine oil, and particularly mercury are suggested to be debarred.

Eat Good Food

Intake of good food is important because both the mother and the fetus get energy from the food, and remain save from deficiencies. The food should contain the following contents:

Grain foods:    6 to 11 servings

Vegetables:    3 to 5 servings

Fruits:        2 to 4 servings

Dairy:        4 to 6 servings

Proteins:    3 to 4 servings.

While talking food, it is critically important that the food must not be high in fats.

Intake Of Fluids

Intake of fluids should be relatively higher during pregnancy. Fresh fruit juices, milk and water must be taken on short intervals.

Limited Exercise

Exercise is important to remain fit and healthy because it regulates blood circulation, assuring proper growth of the fetus. Anyhow, exceeding from limits can be harmful.
