Water with lemon:

A California study, which included 240 women, showed that dieters, who began using waters instead of their sweetened drinks, lost 3 pounds more (on average basis) than those who didn’t. Similarly, those participants who consumed more than 4 cups of water a day shed 2 additional pounds than those who consumed less. You must keep in mind that phosphoric acid in soda contributes to bone loss and osteoporosis.

Granola bars:

A British study says that women who take fiber-rich high-carb breakfast seem to burn twofold fat in workouts (later in the day) than those who take lower fiber (refined) foods.A granola bar with at least 4 g of fiber can be quite effective if compared to typical bar that has just a single gram of fiber. Refined carbs appear to increase insulin levels in the body that restricts its ability to use fat as fuel.

Flaxseed:

Flaxseed is replete with such healthy fats and fiber as help to stabilize blood sugar. According to some studies, flax also has the ability to soothe symptoms of hormone swings, as it has high amounts of plant estrogens. You can sprinkle ground seeds over cereals, salads and soups, they are easier to digest.

Walnuts:

Walnuts are full of omega-3 fatty acids and it can prove better for you health to open up a bag of nuts instead of snacking on some chips, as they may keep you feel fuller longer. In a study, in which diabetics with low-fat diet programs were followed for one year, the researchers found that people who included 8 to 10 walnuts a day lost more body fat. It also helped to decrease their insulin levels that proved helpful to keep fat storage in check.

Hot Sauces:

Spice things up if you really want to burn fat. Australian researchers found that following a spicy meal helped to lower the levels of insulin (the hormone known to trigger body fat storage) as much as 32 percent. Similarly, another theory says that Capsaicin (the chemical that makes chilies fiery) may help to improve body’s ability to clear insulin from the bloodstream.
